Primary Capital Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Wild as CEO of Metamark. Paul French, previously Metamark’s CEO, joined the company in 2012 and now assumes a new full-time role as Metamark’s Chair retaining strategic oversight. Paul led the MBO of Metamark from its founders in 2017 with the backing of Primary Capital. He has overseen material earnings growth during his tenure, leading the management team in delivering significant UK and international growth, and a number of strategic bolt-on acquisitions.
 
Phil Wild’s most recent executive leadership role was as CEO of AIM-listed James Cropper PLC. In Wild’s ten year tenure, Cropper’s market capitalisation grew from £19M to over £115M and delivered a tenfold profit growth. Wild brings M&A and integration experience to Metamark and notable expertise in developing and managing growth in niche, speciality, and disruptive materials businesses. Before his tenure at James Cropper PLC, Wild held various senior director roles at 3M where he spent over 20 years. He is a graduate engineer from Loughborough University with further executive education at the London Business School and Wharton University.
 
Metamark’s ambitions to drive revenue growth beyond £100m will see the company continuing to leverage both its brand and its technical abilities in further international expansion, M&A, new product development and operational efficiencies.
